Port Townsend’s Mary Turner is the latest big lottery winner in Jefferson County. Turner spent $10 on tickets and ended up with one that was worth $250,000 – before taxes, of course. Her lucky numbers were drawn March 25.

A Port Townsend woman won $250,000 in the Washington State Lottery's Mega Millions drawing Friday, March 25.
Mary Turner spent $10 on tickets at the Port Townsend QFC with her daughter because they just “had a feeling” they were going to win.
“We don’t play [the lottery] very often,” said Turner in a press release from Washington State Lottery. “But we knew there was a big jackpot, and my daughter and I just felt we were going to win. Maybe not the big jackpot, but something.”
