Paws-N-Claws 4-H cat club members marched to advertise this year's Fair theme of the sea, "Discover the Treasure," with their decorated umbrellas. Good job, kids!
Laurie Hampton leads the cat club, teaching youth about animal behavior, public speaking, veterinary science, humane treatment of animals, disease prevention, and more. If you are interested in joining Paws-N-Claws cat club you can call Laurie at 437-2388.
Five year old Journey watched the Rhody Parade with her pet dog, Snooky. Journey has a special bond with Snooky and especially likes to play house with him, dressing him up like a baby and pushing him in a stroller around town.
Rhody Parade participants and audience members honored our nation's veterans with this proud team of flag bearers leading the parade. We thank you for your commitment to our nation and the sacrifices you have made for all of us.
New Habitat for Humanity director, Jaime Maichivski, and friend prepare to march. Jaime used to be a 4-H club leader for robotics. Congratulations, Jaime, on your new position - we know you'll do great things for the community!
The Rising Stars horse 4-H club from Quilcene completed their first entry in the 2007 Rhody Parade on Saturday! They won the Neighborhood Award and the best Equestrian! Their leader is Shannon Bishop and she put together the unit. In the parade she is riding her horse, Sue, who is a young 31 years old.
Princess Ashley Barrow, Queen Megan Perry, and Princess Moriah Christensen pay a visit to the WSU Extension office to complete their online video interviews (coming soon!).
Jerrilee Colwill has been advisor to the royalty, training them on etiquette, poise, speaking skills, etc. Thank you, Jerrilee, for all your efforts to help Jefferson County youth develop valuable leadership skills!
