4-H students hold coloring contest

ROSEBURG, OR: The Douglas County 4-H Ambassadors invite all county children in third- to fifth-grade to enter a coloring contest of a scene from Charlotte's Web. Five winners will each win two movie passes for a Coming Attractions theater in Roseburg. (Read More)

In the new LIVE-ACTION film Charlotte’s Web featuring 12-your old screen vetran Dakota Fanning, Fern uses her head, heart, hands and health to encourage family and friends to save Wilbur from the smokehouse. With help from Wilbur’s barn friends, especially Charlotte, Fern’s dream comes true when she is able to take Wilbur to her town’s 4-H Fair.

Family Volunteer Day PSA

On November 18, Disney, the Points of Light Foundation, and the Volunteer Center National Network are joining forces to provide us with Family Volunteer Day.

For the over three thousand 4-H youth who take part annually in the Washington State 4-H Fair it's an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and abilities and compete in a wide range of activities. From the traditional to the unusual, 4-Hers bring their many talents as they exhibit photography, provide robotics demonstrations or create edible delights. The Western Washington Fair, the sixth largest in the nation (2005 Attendance: 1,117,707), is the host and long-time contributor to the Washington State 4-H Fair.
