Northwest Maritime Center Opening


On September 10, 2009 the Northwest Maritime Center opened its doors to the public for a tour of the new facility located in Port Townsend, Washington. The mission of the Northwest Maritime Center is to engage and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery. Kurtis with a "K": Demonstration of Dragon Naturally Speaking



Kurtis Kench with the Kurtis with a "K" show, explains how to use Dragon Naturally Speaking to help people who have trouble either typing or spelling. This adaptive software program can:

1. type from you talking or

2. talk from you typing and/or scanning in text

to help people read and/or write. It is especially helpful for doing Internet searches!

The Kurtis with a "K" show features subjects related to learning challenges and resources to overcome special learning needs. We look forward to more episodes and interviews from Kurtis on these important topics!

Washington State 4-H Teen Conference 2009


4-H teens from across Washington State converged on the Washington State University campus this June in Pullman, WA to enjoy team building activities and educational workshops. Featuring interviews with Washington State 4-H Director, Pay BoyEs and Teen Conference coordinator, Jan Klein.

This video was produced by a group of 22 youth at the Teen Conference, who captured footage and edited the video using the Adobe Premier software program. This project was a group production that was filmed and produced in a single day! Congratulations kids, you did a great job!
