Three 4-Her's Compete For Rhody Crown
The Rhododendron Festival Association has six candidates for three “Rhody Royalty” positions to represent Jefferson County during the 2007 festival season. This is the first time in a few years that coronation night – March 3 at the Chimacum High School auditorium – means competition. (See Candiates Bios)
A queen and two princesses will be selected to represent the state's one-and-only Rhododendron Festival in Port Townsend. The 72nd Rhododendron Festival is the week of May 14-20, with the grand parade on Saturday, May 19.
Three royalty candidates (Chelsea Benner (4-H, Goldeern Clovers), Dana Perkins and Megan Perry (4-H, Horse Club)) are students at Chimacum High School, two (Brianna Rondeau and Katrenna Minnihan) are Port Townsend students, and one (Ashley Barrow (4-H, Schools and Communities)) is from Quilcene.
