2006 State 4-H Forum: Workshops Of Note

The 2006 Washington State 4-H Forum is the annual gathering of 4-H volunteers, teens and faculty/staff. During the Forum, individuals will have the opportunity to network with other volunteers, give input to the Washington State 4-H Program, and hone their skills at a variety of workshops.

This year's theme is 4-H: The Fruits of Our Labor.

The weekend conference will be held October 20 - 22, 2006 at Campbell 's Resort on Lake Chelan . This year's Forum will include the following: Friday will be day-long track workshops, followed by the 4-H Summit, District Planning meetings, and the Volunteer Recognition Banquet/Hall of Fame Induction. Saturday will feature a Keynote Speaker, 40 workshop sessions, 4-H Alumni Reception, and the 4-H Charity Auction. Sunday will be devoted to the 4-H Council Meeting, with District elections of State Advisory Board and State Fair Board representation and committee meetings to review recommendations and discuss project issues.

Includes a little bit of everything needed to run successful 4-H after school program. Group interaction, hands-on environment-related activities, & multi-media presentations will help you gain a better understanding of how to help
kids in an after school setting develop sense of belonging to 4-H and their community.

4-H Blogging and You
Presented by Carey Roos, Operation Military Kids Web Coordinator
Essential Element: Mastery

Come learn how to set up a 4-H blog for your 4-H club or county project. Participants will set up a blog and learn how to manage the content posts, add pictures, and more.
